Prior to owning the Boulder office, she was a broker associate at RE/MAX Realty Consultants where she was a member of RE/MAX 100% Club, past president of the Board of Realtors and recipient of the Boulder Area REALTOR® of the Year award.

Lydia Varela Creasey

Having grown up in the Fort Collins area, Lydia Varela Creasey has been a Colorado resident since 1979, and has lived in the Boulder-Denver area since 1997. She became the newest member of the Hinkelman-Smith team when she joined in December 2005. Lydia brings her experience in fitness coaching to the team, by coaching each client through every step of the transaction. Her clients commend her for her patience, strong negotiating skills, thoroughness and responsiveness. Lydia and her husband Adam currently live in Broomfield with their year-old son Cole. Lydia stays active in the recreation community by teaching aerobics and playing sports. Lydia spends a great deal of her time working in the Boulder area, but also is guiding the Hinkelman-Smith expansion into Broomfield, Westminster and Denver.

Sharon Monroe

Sharon, a 24-year resident of Boulder County, is originally from Richmond, Virginia. Sharon has lived in Louisville since 1994 with her husband Mark, and three children. She has worked in Human Resources and is the Director of the Colorado Writers Workshop.

Sharon enjoys writing fiction, hiking in all seasons, and listening to live music at Chautauqua Auditorium and the Boulder Theater. Her experience gives her a winning combination of skilled negotiation and creative problem-solving.

Kim relocated to Colorado to attend CU from Sun Valley, Idaho. She fell in love with Boulder and the surrounding area due to her love for the outdoors, running the multitude of trails and open space, skiing, hiking and biking in all the mountain towns, and enjoying Colorado's 300 days of sunshine. She is married to Todd Payes, another CU alum, and together they have 3 beautiful children.

Kim's in depth knowledge of Boulder's wonderful neighborhoods and homes, as well as her ability to communicate clearly with others, lead her to her career in real estate which began 11 years ago. In addition to selling real estate, Kim is an accomplished interior designer where she has successfully assisted clients and builders with all aspects of the design process from color and fabric selection to remodeling and home staging. These multifaceted qualities coupled with her passion for helping people buy and sell one of their largest assets ensure her clients will receive added value to their real estate transactions.

Kim Avery is pleased to have joined the professionals at Hinkelman, Smith and Associates. Kim came to RE/MAX with 30 years experience in the customer service and real estate business, specializing in training and support. Kim began her real estate career with Alain Pinel Realtors in Northern California, working with APR's Master's Program, an education program for new and veteran sales professionals in contract negotiation, agency relationships, marketing, technology and overall real estate career fulfillment. Arriving in Colorado in 1997, she put her real estate career on hold to work with Boulder Valley School District and Alexander Dawson Middle School. Her experience has increased her ability to oversee the details of the transaction, assuring that the needs are satisfied for all of her clients.

Kim lives in Lafayette with her husband, former Mayor Dale Avery, her son CJ and daughter Jessie. Both students of the BVSD, they now attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. Go Buffs!

Nicole Vallely

Nicole Vallely was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota. She has lived in Colorado for 10 years now, first in Centennial, then Castle Rock, and now Boulder. She graduated from Cherry Creek High School. Nicole started working for RE/MAX Alliance when she was 16 and has been with the company ever since. She worked at the DTC office, the Park Meadows office, and now the Boulder office. She knew from day one that real estate was her calling and that it is something she is passionate about.

Nicole manages the office of Hinkelman, Smith, and Associates. She processes the files, coordinates the transactions and helps our clients through the buying and selling process. She is your central point of contact to ensure that each step of the real estate process gets handled on time and in a professional manner. She is extremely friendly and helpful, and specializes in customer service.
