First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit

First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit now extended for home buyers. Buyers must have a binding sales contract signed before April 30, 2010 and purchases completed by june 30, 1010 to qualify. This applies to buyers who have not owned a principal residence during the 3 years prior to purchase. Repeat or move-up buyers can receive up to $6,500 incentive to buy if they've lived in the same principal residence for 5 consecutive years during the 8 year period that ends when the home is purchased.
