Boulder Rugby has a strong tradition in the area and has been in existence in Boulder since 1966. For us old boys it is more about the social aspect of the game, but we can still be seen getting out on the pitch for a game or two. Boulder Rugby has tremendous diversity in sides from the Men's open, to the Boulder Babes (Women's Team) to the motly crew we put together for our annual pilgrimage to Ruggerfest in Aspen Colorado.
The club tends to go on tour every year to places such as Vancouver, Canada, Spain, Germany, and where ever we can think up the next great adventure. We are always open to see a new face. I originally hung up my boots over 20 years ago and began playing again 2 years ago and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. The scary thing is the same players were still there 20 years later!
The photo above was taken this last Saturday at a tournament in Vail Boulder won all three games. The first was an over 35's the second was an over 50's and the third was the Men's Open, otherwise known as the young guns.
