Here's Why You Should Move To Boulder Colorado

Posted by Doug Smith on Thursday, June 14th, 2012 at 4:26pm.

Boulder is one of the most popular cities to buy a home in Colorado because of the opportunities that are available there.  This city has it all: a booming economy, a tier one research university, an electric downtown area, beautiful sights, gorgeous mountain landscapes, forward thinking people, a diverse population, and eco-friendly everything!

Small and independent business is not alive in Boulder but it is growing with great strength.  In fact finding employment in the city and country of Boulder is one of the biggest draws to the area. New and innovative technologies involving everything from clean energy to eco-manufacturing and sustainable farming are being developed with great success and support all around the community. This make for a stable way of life for most people living in or considering moving into the community.

The Rocky Mountains and the wide verity of sports that surround them are another major reason why people move to Boulder.  With a generally mild climate, high altitudes, and more than 300 days of sunshine, athletes have the perfect working for just about any sport imaginable.  Boulder is well known for its love of all things sport but activities like hiking, biking and climbing are especially popular by the enthusiasts of this community.  The world class terrain and spectacular views around Boulder have helped to draw new residents every year.

Although the housing market in Boulder has been affected by the recent declines of the economy, it is somewhat resistant to normal trends.  Home values have remained more constant here simply because the demand for housing is so high.  The University of Colorado is responsible for a large portion of that demand.  Additionally many students find that once they have gotten used to the Boulder way of living, moving out is just not an option.

Boulder was named the 4th best city in the country according to Kiplinger in 2010 as a “wealthy, intellectual hot spot where environmental and scientific ideas blossom into businesses.”  This in general is the overall feel of the community that is loved by some many people.  Every where you turn you will see new ideas transformed into reality and passion that emanates from the member of the community.  Choosing to move to Boulder is a great decision for anyone looking for a stable and thriving economy, real estate market, and social life.  What ever you reason for moving to Boulder Colorado you can be sure that you will not regret your decision.  Come and find out for yourself why Boulder is a great place to raise a family, enjoy the great outdoors, get your education, and to live your life to the fullest!
