Holiday time equals family timePosted by Doug Smith on Friday, December 23rd, 2011 at 11:34am.
“Christmas time is here/Happiness and cheer/Fun for all that children that call their favorite time of year” go the classic lyrics from Charlie Brown’s “Christmas Time Is Here” song. So in the spirit of Christmas and family, take a break from cooking, decorating and wrapping to check out these two holiday-family events in Boulder and Denver.
Gingerbread Tea: Head down to the St. Julien Hotel & Spa for an afternoon of tea, gingerbread men and holiday piano music. Families can decorate gingerbread men while listening to tunes courtesy of six-time Grammy award winning pianist Ralph Sharon. Tickets cost $30 for adults, and $20 for kids, which directly benefit the Boulder-based non-profit There With Care, an organization that assists children and families facing critical illness.
Denver’s Blossoms of Lights: Colorado is a naturalist’s ultimate playground. So for those of you who are eager to be out in your garden this winter, we recommend stepping foot in the Denver Botanical Gardens to view the Blossoms of Light display. Over one million lights fill the Garden scene, including an amphitheater of lights synced to classic holiday jingles.
