Well now you can do that and so much more just about any weekend in Boulder at the newly modernized Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado. A few weeks ago, after having been under construction since the beginning of 2013, the doors to this totally high-tech and completely modernized planetarium proudly reopened. Boasting a 65 foot diameter screen, high-definition imaging, a star machine capable of producing 2 million stars, a new state-of-the-art laser system, and highly entertaining programs, movies, experiences, and shows; the Fiske Planetarium is sure to be one of Boulder’s most popular attractions.

The end of summer has arrived once again, which means kids and parents all over the nation are gearing up for some major back to school action in the upcoming weeks. In fact, the Boulder Valley School District will have their first days this coming Thursday, August 22nd for grades 1st-5th and Friday, August 23rd for 6th-12th graders. The district is very excited for the start of this new school year because it is the first year they will be implementing their new mission and vision as a district. One of Boulder's special cultural gems is the Colorado Music Festival held every summer at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium. Currently under the direction of maestro Michael Christie, the festival is a vibrant and joyful way to experience classic, and occasionally modern, orchestra concerts in Boulder. Bose– Longmont Humane Society’s Dog of the Week!
If Bose doesn’t melt your heart, I don’t know what will! I mean just look at him, he is absolutely stunning! This guy is the whole package: athletic, gentle, playful and calm. Bose is 4 years old and, of course, an American Pit Bull Mix. This gentleman is searching for his forever home and companions. A medium sized dog at 61 lbs, Bose is the perfect size for just about anyone. He also loves other animals and would do wonderfully in a home with pet friends. If you are interested in Bose, we highly encourage you to visit the Longmont Humane Society and take him for a walk. Bose does great on his leash and is really obedient.
