Clinton – Boulder Valley Humane Society’s Dog of the Week!

Clinton sure is a trooper.  This 2 year old German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix has had a rough go of thing the last few months but is finally back in prime condition.  Despite the bad hand of cards Clinton has been dealt, he is as sweet as they get. Boulder Valley Humane Society's Dog of The Week - Blizzard

Check out Blizzard!  This super cool dog is a 2 year old Dalmatian Mix.  Blizzard not only has unique looks but he also has a great personality as well.  This lovable guy likes hanging out in the Training Center where he can find lots of people to pet and cuddle him. Blizzard also likes to vocalize his affection for his favorite people with low grumbling noises accompanied by a wagging tail and big smile.  Known to just flop over on his back with his tongue out, it is hard to image that Blizzard has not been taken home yet.  The HSBV is only looking for homes for Blizzard with older children 10 years of age or older.  If you are interested in Blizzard call them today!

Nika – Boulder Valley Humane Society’s Dog of the Week!  

Nika is a charming old lady who is hoping to find a family who will love her through the end of her days.  She is 12 years old and a Carolina Dog/Basenji mix. Despite the fact that she is in her golden years, Nika is still an active pup. She loves to take long walks, play fetch, chase squirrels whenever she gets the chance, wrestle and play with her plush toys.  Nika will make a great companion for someone even though it may only be for a couple of years. Although she is friends with many other dogs, Nika would probably do best in a home where she is the only one.  To get on Nika's good side all you have to do is show her your affection and give her her favorites treats…bananas!

Eldora Mountain Resort is a local ski resort that is very popular with Front Range residences.  A mere 21 miles from downtown Boulder and 4 miles from Nederland, this little mountain sees a ton of action every year.  This hip-hoppin’ resort first opened in the early 60’s and is still one of only a couple ski resorts east of the Continental Divide.  Known for their exceptional snow making ability, convenience, affordability, and mix of runs; Eldora Ski Resort is loved by local ski, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing enthusiasts. Whether you live in Boulder or are just visiting the area, you have to check out Eldora Ski Resort if you love to ski.

Karma is a bit of old lady at 7 years, but she still has a youthful personality.  A Shetland Sheepdog Mix, Karma is on the small side at only 17 pounds.  A big sweet heart by nature, this little lady can be a bit timid in new situations.  Karma’s ideal home includes a family with only older children and maybe another small four legged companion.  Karma will need some time to adjust to her new home so lots of love and patience are required.  If you are interested in Karma please call, BVHS and refer to her ID number!

Check out Lulu!  This 9 month old black female terrier, pit bull/pointer mix weighs about 50 pounds and is full of energy!  Still a puppy, Lulu loves to play and will do great with an active family.  Lulu also loves her female friends and would cherish having another animal companion to keep her company.  Lulu was diagnosed with mites, but she is not contagious.  This minor skin condition does not inhibit her and can be treated simply.  For more information about Lulu, please contact the BVHS and reference her ID number.
