We were delighted to hear that Boulder was recently selected by Lonely Planet as one of the top 10 U.S. travel destinations for 2012. Writers described the city as “one of the most livable cities in the U.S.” and indeed Boulder is an outdoor, adventurous and active paradise. With new years resolutions beginning to unfold, some of you are may be looking to incorporate or refine a healthier lifestyle. So lace up your running and hiking shoes, and take advantage of these two famous Boulder events and places.Royal Arch Trail: Lonely Planet’s article praised this awesome, scenic trail in their article. Seeded in the Boulder Flatirons, the 3.2-mile trek starts at the Chautauqua Lake trailhead and takes you through Sentinel Pass for breathtaking views of the Boulder foothills and downtown Denver. The hike ranks as moderately strenuous.
