Nederland is a Statutory Town which was established in 1885, and is situated near the Continental Divide and Barker Meadow Reservoir in the mountains of southwest Boulder County, Colorado.  During the 1850s, it started as a trading post between European settlers and Ute Indians.  The town first boomed when gold, silver and tungsten were discovered near the mines of Caribou and then Eldora.  Today it is as famous as a gateway to outdoor activity in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, Rocky Mountain National Park, Roosevelt National Forest and Peak Wilderness. Nederland is located 15 miles southwest of Boulder, 38 miles south of Estes Park and 50 miles northwest of Denver.

            As we remain on this path of low mortgage interest rates and depleted inventory of available homes for sale, the Boulder Valley real estate market continues to show signs of positive improvement. Through June/2012, the Boulder County real estate market is UP 25% compared to through June/2011 for single family homes and attached unit sales (2,125 units vs. 1,702 units). The market still trails the peak year of 2005, down approximately 28% compared to through June/2005 (2,125 units vs. 2,940 units).
