This challenge requires at least 415 participants to run about 2 miles per day every day in April in order to run the distance of the equator, or 24,901 miles. Challenge organizers hope that more people than needed participate, in hopes of running the distance of the equator several times over. This virtual run challenge is open to people of all ages and fitness skill levels, the goal is to work together as a community to lead a more active lifestyle and celebrate the planet Earth.
