A big part of the Boulder lifestyle is about being active, staying healthy, and having a good time while doing it! Easton Training Centers embody these ideals and offer a place to train not only your body, but your mind. Based out of Boulder, with many locations across the Front Range, Easton facilities have classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts. This diverse fitness center also has classes for children, families and those just looking to get in better shape.
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the Boulder location recently, and immediately you could see that this was a tight group and an inviting atmosphere. It was nice to see such a variety of people training there, men and women of all ages. We caught the end of the kids kickboxing class and these kids were having fun! You could also see that they were being taught some good life lessons and had a great deal of respect for their teachers.
During our visit we were fortunate enough to visit with Amal Easton, founder of Easton Training Centers. He took the time to answer a few questions for us and his responses really reinforced the ideas of community and family values that we were seeing in his facility. Be sure to check out the full video interview below!
Father and Boulder resident, Amal has built his life around the lifestyle he wants to live. Easton enjoys mountain sports and Boulder also provided a great environment to raise his family. He also mentioned the long commutes while training in Brazil and loves the fact that he can ride his bike to work, and he often does.
If you are looking for something new to try or have always wanted to learn more about martial arts, there is no time like the present. While they do train professionals, Easton Training Centers are really about the everyday person. People of all skill levels and experience are welcome. You can try a class for free to see if you like it, and they offer a 30 day money back guarantee to give you a chance to see if it is really for you.
The family programs and kids classes are really unique and can definitely be a good way to strengthen family ties. They offer classes where parents and children can train together, starting from about age 4 and on. Teachers are also available before lessons begin so you and your kids can get to know them better. Amal cares a great deal about creating a positive environment and putting good role models in place to teach his students.
As a MMA fan and one who loves to train as well, it was just awesome to be back in the gym again. The physical benefits and the mental growth are why I really enjoy mixed martial arts training, on top of the fact that it's just fun. Being an art lover, I also appreciate that this type of training allows you to express yourself in a very pure way through your own movements. Form and execution of techniques can become like stanzas from a poem or riffs in a song. Some folks are very formal in their approach, and others improvise a bit more. MMA is a great mix of discipline and creativity. This training will get you in the best shape of your life, and it's a great fit for that active Boulder lifestyle!
