My Home Buying and Selling Experience: Part Five - Packing, Closing, Moving and Settling In

Broomfield Real EstateI am so pleased to announce that our home buying and selling experience has come to an end and we could not be happier with our new home in Broomfield, Colorado! Today's date is June 1st, which is significant because according to the plan I mapped out some 6 months ago, me and my family are all settled into our new house precisely on schedule. Honestly, I could not have imagined things going as smoothly as they did through the negotiations, financing, closing, and especially the actual physical move. Here's a little recap from the final stage of my personal home buying and selling experience.

Packing - Luckily for us, I took my own advice from a previous staging blog I wrote and had our home halfway packed up before the real hard stuff started. By de-cluttering our home and organizing our belongings directly into boxes months before the big move, I was able to save myself a lot of grief and time later on. In fact, our Realtor kept checking in on us and was surprised at how on top of it I was! Go me!

Closing - We were very fortunate to not have hit any major snafus and even the counters on both our seller's and buyer's contracts were not met with any major objections. We had a few issues we wanted resolved in our new home and gave a few concessions on the home we sold. All in all, everything worked out great for all three parties.

Moving - The hardest part through our journey out of the old and into the new, was the mental stress and exhaustion of coordinating the move among my family. The cleaning aspect was also a real pain, but it had to be done. With that being said, I could not imagine what it would have been like if I didn't hire The Perfect Moving Company. If you are moving in our area, I highly suggest checking them out. This company by far had the best team of movers I have ever done business with. They had great rates, were fast, careful and efficient. The team I worked with specifically was also very polite, courteous, and friendly, which made a world of difference in how my family perceived the entire endeavor of completely relocating.

Broomfield Real EstateSettling in - In my last report, I told about the success we had with selling our home. In this blog, I want to share with you the success we had in finding the right home for us. I am a true believer in things happen for a reason, and I feel like the stars aligned in order to match us up with this house. Although there are a few projects we have to complete before the house truly becomes perfect, the layout, the backyard, and especially the community already are! From the kind welcomes we have received from our neighbors to the gorgeous parks all within walking distance, we are confident we made a great decision offering more than the asking price for this little Broomfield gem!

The stars did in fact align to make your transition into your new home relatively painless. All the stuff, like coordinating, cleaning, actually making things happen - we know they are a disturbance and somewhat of an annoyance in our busy lives - are necessary, but it sounds like it was fairly smooth for you. Congrats again & thanks for sharing your experience!
