The Boulder and Colorado real estate and law communities lost a true legend and friend on August 31, 2014 with the death of Oliver Frascona. Oliver's plane tragically crashed with four other people on board during an attempted landing at the Erie Airport. The BoulderHomeSource and RE/MAX Alliance families are deeply saddened by Oliver's passing.
When Oliver Frascona walked into a room his energy, charisma and grand smile would enliven and brighten the room. He was a witty, intelligent, and passionate instructor, speaker, attorney and champion for the real estate community. His inspiring and engaging teaching methods regarding fairly boring real estate and law topics usually meant his classes were overflowing. Oliver was always a passionate advocate for Realtors and Realtor Associations including the Boulder Area, Colorado and National Association of Realtors. If Oliver was you or your clients' attorney, he would fiercely go to bat for you during litigation. Additionally, Oliver was a writer of real estate related books and articles.
Oliver founded the law firm Frascona, Joiner, Goodman & Greenstein, P.C. in 1974. According to LinkedIn his impressive credentials included: Real Estate Lawyer, Represented 24 Colorado Boards of REALTORS(r) and thousands of individual REALTORS(r), Buyers/Sellers/Brokers in Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Litigation, Real Estate Broker Plaintiff and Defense (includes Colorado Real Estate Commission License Law Issues), Author or seven versions of The Paper Trail (The Digital Paper Trail - current version - Amazon.com or Frascona.com) and articles for publications and very brief appearances on CNN, etc. Speaker on: Negotiations (MCNE Program) - Legal and Real Estate Education and Keynotes - America/Canada), Mediator (Real Estate Only), Arbitrator (Real Estate Only) and Litigator in Real Estate and Business matters.
Contributions in memory of Oliver Frascona may be made to Flatirons Habitat for Humanity and will be used in support of the construction of a Habitat home in north Boulder during the coming year. Donations may be sent directly to Flatirons Habitat (1455 Dixon Avenue, Suite 210; Lafayette, CO 80026), or made through the Flatirons Habitat website:FlatironsHabitat.org. "Just as he taught us, we will carry on his tradition of excellence." We couldn't agree more with this quote from the Frascona, Joiner, Goodman & Greenstein PC website. Oliver Frascona was a true life force in the real estate world and he will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to Oliver's family, work associates and friends during this difficult time.
